If there’s one thing that coronavirus has taught us, particularly in Melbourne, is that things change quickly. This page is where you’ll be able to find out the latest information about COVID-related restrictions as they apply to this practice.
Seeing patients in the rooms
We’re currently seeing patients by telehealth in the vast majority of cases. This protects you as well as our staff by minimising travel and potential exposure. Far from ideal, it’s a good substitute considering the current situation. We will always organise a face-to-face appointment if required.
To attend your appointment, click on the link below and you’ll be placed into the virtual waiting room.
We have to all work together to save beds for COVID patients. Unfortunately we’re having to accommodate more and more hospitalisations and so elective surgery has been cancelled, for all but patients in dire need.
Below is a graph that is updated to give you the current number of COVID hospitalisations.
That means for spinal patients, that surgery is restricted to those who have trauma, neurological deficits or intractible pain.
Please contact the rooms if you’d like to discuss your case with Mr Cunningham.
Prior to surgery, all elective patients will be required to be tested for COVID and then self isolate. We recommend having this done 5-7 days prior at a Melbourne Pathology lab or Epworth campus site. We can provide you with the request form.
