COVID
Updated: 29 July 2020
If there’s one thing that coronavirus has taught us, particularly in Melbourne, is that things change quickly. This page is where you’ll be able to find out the latest information about COVID-related restrictions as they apply to this practice.
Seeing patients in the rooms
We’re currently seeing patients in the rooms taking into account the usual “COVID normal” restrictions. This means we all wear masks, minimise the number of people in the rooms, and have our temperature taken. Most importantly, don’t come if you have any COVID symptoms or if you have been told to self-isolate.
For our rural patients, we’re still conducting telehealth consultations. Whilst far from ideal, it’s a good substitute for those needing to travel long distances. We will always organise a face-to-face appointment if required.
To attend your telehealth appointment, click on the link below and you’ll be placed into the virtual waiting room.

Elective Operating
Hospital such as the Epworth Richmond are soon to be permitted to increase elective operations from 50% to 75% capacity, with a view to increasing that further if COVID cases remain low.
Prior to surgery, all elective patients will be required to be tested for COVID and then self isolate. We recommend having this done 3 days prior at a Melbourne Pathology lab or Epworth campus site. We can provide you with the request form.
Please don’t hesitate to contact the rooms if you’d like to discuss the urgency of your case with Mr Cunningham.
